I’ve got some questions…
-
Private session + Group class Cancellation Policy:
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. No shows, cancellations, or reschedule requests made less than 24 hours before any scheduled session or group class will be charged for the full cost of the session or one will be deducted from your package. No refunds or credits.
If you “early cancel” more than 24 hours before any scheduled group class or private session a credit will automatically be added to your account and you may reschedule for another date.
Please log into your account to cancel your reservation at your earliest convenience so that others have the opportunity to join.
Our policy is in place to protect our staff and the clients on our waitlist as well as to encourage your commitment to yourself. Our studio is very small with limited space so when you are booking a spot, that means there is one less spot for another client to take. Out of respect for all of our clients and our instructors, we strictly enforce this policy.
If you are running late for your session, please email us at info@bodiesandplants.com to let us know. Clients who arrive more than 15 minutes late (without notifying us) will be considered a no show.
Waitlist Policy:
When a spot becomes available, you’ll automatically be added to class (up until 1 hour prior to the start of class) and notified via email (be sure to opt in to email communications so you don’t miss the notification). If you’ve joined the waitlist but are no longer available, please remove yourself by logging into your mindbody account so that others can have the opportunity to join the list. Once admitted into class, standard 24 hour cancellation rules apply.

There are tons of benefits to a consistent Pilates practice! Pilates follows a set of principles which include: concentration, control, center, flow, precision, and breath (to name a few).
With your practice, you may improve your posture, increase mobility/flexibility, build muscular strength, improve balance, boost your mood, manage stress, increase energy and improve circulation. Pilates is also an excellent movement practice for injury prevention and injury rehabilitation making it one of the most approachable and adaptable forms of exercise out there!

Wear clothing you’re comfortable moving in, however please avoid wearing baggy pants as they may get caught in the equipment. If you're joining a reformer class, for your safety and to keep our equipment clean, please remember to wear grip socks. Additionally, please avoid wearing jewelry or clothing that has zippers, buttons, or any sharp embellishments as they may damage the equipment.

Your body is unique and it moves that way. Pilates is really just about learning to move well, build strength, and increase mobility. You do not have to already be an expert to try!
-
As long as you’re cleared to exercise by your doctor, the short answer is yes! If you have specific concerns about an old injury or a current one, our advice is to take a few one on one sessions so your instructor can guide you at a pace that’s appropriate for you. We will help you build strength and confidence in your body, you’ll just have to be patient with yourself.

We love you and love working with private clients like you! If it’s in your budget, we recommend booking private sessions. We will work together towards your personal goals and help you deepen your movement practice. We’ll use a combination of the Pilates apparatus (reformer, Cadillac, springboard, chair, and some mat work). Every person is unique and we will always customize a session that fits your individual needs.
-
To book a private session, click here. If you’re brand new, start by creating an account with us, then you may book your appointment. We require all clients to create a profile with stored credit card details to hold their appointments.

We love the idea of exercising in a community! We offer small group reformer classes (3 students), springboard classes (5 students), and group Pilates mat classes. You can read more about these classes on our Offerings page. All of our group classes are small and intimate.
-
If you are booking a group class, we require that you sign up in advance. We don’t allow walk ins. Sign ups close one hour prior to the start of class. All group class bookings can be done directly through our website by heading to the book a class page, finding the class you want to join, and then following the prompts to register. Remember, class sizes are small so it’s best to book several days ahead so you don’t miss your chance to grab a spot. If class is full, you’re welcome to join the waitlist. If a spot becomes available you will be notified via email.
-
You cannot sign up a guest from your account. Each student attending class needs to sign themselves up through their own account. This is so we can have an accurate attendance list and so that each person attending class has agreed to our waiver/class cancellation policies. Creating an account is super easy, just head to the book a class tab on our website, tap “book” next to the class you’d like to join, and then follow the prompts to creating an account/registering for class. Or, you can sign up for group classes via the mindbody app.
-
You can learn about all of our pricing on our Offerings page. We offer drop in rates and packages.
-
If a group class is full, you’ll see the option to “join waitlist”. If you don’t have a current package with us, you’ll have to purchase a drop in to be on the waitlist. But don’t worry, if you’re not admitted into class you can keep the credit to use for another time or you may request a refund. When a spot becomes available, you’ll automatically be added to class and notified via email up to one hour prior to the start of class (be sure to opt in to email communications so you don’t miss the notification). If you’ve joined the waitlist but are no longer available, please remove yourself by logging into your mindbody account so that others can have the opportunity to join the list. Once admitted into class, standard 24 hour cancellation rules apply.

There are tons of benefits to practicing Pilates while pregnant! We do not currently offer a group prenatal class so we recommend booking a private session. Especially once you enter into your second trimester, open level group classes may not be safe for you. In your private session, your instructor will create a session that focuses on safe prenatal exercises. You will safely build strength in your body while improving circulation and healthy range of motion in your joints. Pilates can be helpful in preparing your body for birth and also afterwards! Once cleared from your doctor, we’d love to help you build back strength in your body postpartum.
